Samsung’s oddest invention

Compare in Opera and IE:

The "Download" links that are not shown in Opera will appear when you press [Ctrl+G] to toggle the page's style off.

Samsung is using a really weird solution: load page with normal HTML and some display:none styles to hide the download link, then create a sort of request to their webservice to see what download links apply to this printer!! Why did they not do that work on the server, for a faster and more reliable result? They have a backend coding team and a webmaster team that don't communicate well except through web services?
